Kerry won in the press and won in the only tally that matters in these debates, getting votes. As far as the substance, I still think it was pretty close to a tie. I do have a feeling though that Kerry's gaffs ('global test') may have 'legs' while Bush's gaffs (basically a weak presentation style) may fade quickly. We will see. He moved verbally around bush like bush was a cow, and he was a wolf. I think that feeling of Kerry taking down Bush verbally, will have an impact, though if Bush comes back in the second and third debates we will see what happened. bush did miss several chances to get in some good shots.
