To say that the Bush&#039;s US is mobilized against a &quot;world wide enemy&quot; is one point, but you could also say that marginalized nations and organization are increasigly banding together to protect themselves from US aggression.

Of course, from either one of those interpretations, you can say &quot;Good! Easier to hit them when they&#039;re all lined up.&quot;  And that&#039;s largely true, though our own momentary resource costs tend to go up the more we have to deal with at once.  But you still need to wonder whether some of these nations aren&#039;t being spruned by us; if they aren&#039;t being polarized against us, by us; and if they are, whether there might have been a more efficient or humane way to proceed.</description>
