Iraqi Heroism
Today is a historic day. Initial estimates are that voter turnout in Iraq is higher than expected, and although the day has certainly not been free from violence the elections appear to be very successful.
The Iraqi people, like the Afghans, have clearly shown that they will not be intimidated and they will be free.
I salute their courage.
Thugs and tyrants thoughout the region are filled with fear today.
