A photograph released by Dr Tsunemi Kubodera of Tokyo’s National Science Museum of an 8m (26ft) long giant squid taken as it attacked bait on a longline at 900m depth off Japan’s Bonin islands.
They have been trying to photograph this beast for a while now. Very cool that they have succeeded.
