Quick Movie reviews
I finally got out to see King Kong last night.
Wow.
It was an incredible movie with some awesome action scenes and well developed characters, especially the big guy himself. The final scene atop the empire state building is both inspiring and heart rending as Kong challenges the planes he has no hope of defeating. It is a movie that you really really should see in the theater, a small screen simply won’t do it justice.
I also saw Narnia last week. It was incredible as well, with perhaps the coolest battle scene, Peter’s charge, that I have ever seen on film. The actors, especially the children, were all amazing. Although there were some differences between the movie and the book, the movie was very true to the themes the book presented.
2005 wasn’t a great year for movies. King Kong and Narnia go a long way to make up for an otherwise hum drum year though.
I saw Kong as well on Christmas…I thought it was awesome.
the insect scene was unbearable to watch though…I think I’m gonna have nightmares for a while!!
