The Relevance of Dr. Seuss

9:52 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2006

John Noonan of The Officers’ Club has several political cartoons by Dr. Seuss from the 40s. Interesting.

Everyone is familiar with Dr. Seuss’ timeless children’s books. But most people are unaware that Dr. Seuss spent two years as chief editorial cartoonist for the New York newspaper PM, where -from 1941 to 1943- he drew over 400 editorial cartoons. Much like his children’s series, Dr. Seuss’ editorial work is still relevant today.
