UN sends Iran a strongly worded letter

The world’s top powers banded together Thursday to warn a defiant Iran against pursuing sensitive nuclear research but Russia and China ruled out using sanctions or force. The meeting of the United Nations Security Council permanent members plus Germany in Berlin came after the council unanimously approved a non-binding statement Wednesday giving Iran 30 days to abandon its uranium enrichment activities, ending a weeks-long impasse.

“This is a strong sign to Iran that negotiation not confrontation should be their course,” US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said.

And should Iran continue in this course even more strongly worded letters will follow.

I am sure that no one believes that Iran will change its nuclear ambitions as a result of this.

…just like the “palestinians” will never change their agenda to wipe us off the map…be fair, Dave. Either stick up for the U.S. and Israel or neither one of them!

I am not sure what you mean by asking me to be fair here.
