Tony Snow named press secretary
President George W. Bush named Fox News Radio host Tony Snow as the new White House press secretary on Wednesday in his latest move aimed at shaking up his staff and breathing new life into his presidency.”I’m here in the briefing room to break some news, I’ve asked Tony Snow to serve as my new press secretary,” Bush told a crowd of reporters in the White House press briefing room.
Snow, 50, will replace Scott McClellan, who announced his resignation last week as part of a staff shake-up engineered by new White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten who is trying to help Bush rebound from sagging polls and bolster American confidence in his leadership.
I have nothing against Tony Snow and I expect he will do a pretty good job. I am a bit troubled about moving from the news media to a political spokesman and (I assume) back though.

Snow started out in GHW Bush’s administration. But I’m sort of troubled by the revolving door between politics and the media, too.
