Transfering Captured Israeli soldiers to Iran?
Apparently the AP is now reporting that the Israeli foreign ministry claims that Lebanese guerrillas are trying to transfer the captured Israeli soldiers to Iran.
While not completely out of the question, as I said in a previous post we can have great confidence that Iran is at least periferally involved, I am taking this claim with a grain of salt for now. Certainly I would be surprised if Iran accedes to this request (if they could even get the captives to Iran, not an easy task.)
This does highlight though the regional nature of the current events.
No link for a story in this yet, just saw it as breaking news from CNN, who have not yet confirmed this themselves.
