I’m convinced
Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson said on Thursday the wave of scorching temperatures across the United States has converted him into a believer in global warming.
“We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels,” Robertson said on his “700 Club” broadcast. “It is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air.”This week the heat index, the perceived temperature based on both air temperatures and humidity, reached 115 Fahrenheit in some regions of the U.S. East Coast. The 76-year-old Robertson told viewers that was “the most convincing evidence I’ve seen on global warming in a long time.”
For a while now I have been somewhat on the fence in the global warming debate. I am convinced that some climate change is occuring, but less sanguine about it being human caused.
Thankfully, now I have a clear indicator of what to think. Global warming is obviously a crock since if we can trust anything, it is that Pat Robertson is wrong.
It’s so funny too - just like that guy. All the scientists and meteorologists have said very clearly that these types of heat waves have nothing to do with global warming. And yet, the one time they almost universally say it is NOT related, this idiot changes direction. This guy is a class act.
