I was going to excerpt a teaser, but I couldn’t decide which part I liked best, and couldn’t quote the whole thing. Go read it, it is a fascinating and deep look at a speech that is deserving of more than the famous sound bite that has stirred up all the trouble.
I don’t share the Anchoresses view of the Pope of course, but her perspective here is invaluable I think.
