Orson Scott Card on elections and the war on terror
Civilization Watch - October 29, 2006 - The Only Issue This Election Day
This long essay is well worth reading. It covers why he can’t support the democrats and how he views most of the major events in the world, and why he thinks President Bush’s strategy is more or less right on all of them. One could of course disagree with his views, but even if you disagree, it is well worth reading and thinking about the points he presents.
As for myself, my thinking and his is pretty close on everything, although I suspect, perhaps naively, that if the Democrats do gain control of one or both houses they will behave more responsibly than their rhetoric would indicate.
In any event, take the time to read the whole thing.
