RIP President Gerald Ford, 1913-2006

I only vaguely remember the Ford presidency, and certainly at the time I was not at all interested in politics, so Ford is a President I only know from history. My impressions are that he was a good man, at a time the country desperately needed a good man in the Presidency.
That is a role I think very few politicians could fill, and that Ford was there and able to fill it admirably is perhaps as great an accomplishment as any.
