In four years of reading blogs, this is without a doubt the weirdest conversation I have ever witnessed.

So, hey, man. Congrats, sort of.

I think that basic reading comprehension would reveal that that chapter is poetic, so even those who were themselves Christian might not take it literally, anymore then when Christ said Peter was the rock on whom he would build his Church he wasn't indicating that Peter was in fact composed of stone.

Further, even if one was to take it literally, one would realize that the phrase 'royal priesthood' would mean a preisthood founded by a monarch. In this case one would suppose the monarch to be the 'King of Kings.' Just as a the individuals in the 'Royal Navy' are not in fact all royals, neither would the members of the 'royal priesthood' be royalty themselves.

Lastly, I think reading comprehension would reveal that the exhortation "The greatest among you will be your servant." should advise any Chirstian not to think to highly of themselves or put on airs.

Do you think basic reading comprehension would reveal that Christians who are not members of "the British Royal Family" are royal?

Theological questions aside, I think basic reading comprehension would reveal that this is talking about the British Royal Family.

"The prince, who is third in line to the throne, will become the first royal to serve a tour of duty in a war zone since his uncle Prince Andrew flew helicopters in the Falklands conflict 25 years ago."

Peter wrote that Christians are "a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people" (1 Peter 2:9).

Have no Christians served a tour of duty in a war zone since 1982?
