In sharp contrast to his tough talk about ethics reform in government, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., approached a well-known Illinois political fixer under active federal investigation, Antoin “Tony” Rezko, for “advice” as he sought to find a way to buy a house shortly after being elected to the United States Senate.
If the facts are as represented in this story, at the very least we have an appearence of inpropiety if not outright corruption. I imagine that it will be difficult to prove anything directly about Obama, but it is I think an important story.
Obama gives nice speeches, no doubt about that, but I’m not sure that their is a whole lot of substance to him.
Of course I am not an Obama supporter, on the Democratic side I much prefer Hillary. Some of that is her positions, but also a part of it is that I trust her vices a whole lot more then I trust Obama’s virtues.
