I consider Leiberman an outside choice to be John McCain’s vice presidential candidate. It is very clear that the two men admire one another, and they reinforce each others core themes of integrity regardless of popularity.
I happen to think it would be a very astute political choice, and ironically I think it would do more to placate the Republican base then any other choice McCain could make, as well as obviously appealing to independants and conservative democrats. Obama also is going to face some problems with the Jewish vote anyway, and Leiberman as VP would greatly increase those problems, probably sealing Florida for the Republicans and putting parts of the northeast, particularly Connecticut, into play.

Leiberman was not mentioned in the latest news reports on Drudge, though. The govenor of LA should stay home, he needs to season a bit. And if he can clean up LA, he can clean up anything.
